Routine & Preventive Care

Dental Cleanings & Exams

Just because you don’t have a toothache or another dental concern doesn’t mean you shouldn’t see the dentist! Keeping up with oral hygiene includes great at-home care and regular visits to a dental office. We’ll professionally clean your teeth, getting rid of all that tough stuff that you can’t clean on your own, and we’ll make sure no new problems are developing.

Dental Sealants

Have you noticed food getting stuck in those small grooves on your back teeth? The chewing surfaces of our molars are a perfect place for bacteria to get trapped and lead to cavities. With sealants, we can fill in these little crevices to stop food particles from getting stuck there and keep your teeth protected from decay.

Fluoride Treatments

Whenever plaque wears away at your teeth, it’s actually a process called demineralization. With fluoride treatments, we can instead promote remineralization to strengthen your teeth and reverse decay. Many children benefit from fluoride, but this treatment can help adults as well.

Gum Disease Treatment

Do your gums feel tender, look red or swollen, or bleed? If so, you may have gum disease. Without proper treatment, gum disease can develop from the more minor stage of gingivitis to the more serious form of periodontitis, which can result in tooth loss. We offer deep cleanings, antibiotics, special mouth rinses, and laser gum therapy to treat gum disease.

Custom Athletic Mouthguards & Nightguards

Whether it’s because you play sports or because you frequently grind and clench your teeth, you may need a custom mouthguard to protect your teeth and jaw from damage. We offer both sports mouthguards as well as nightguards specifically for bruxism, the formal name for the condition where you grind your teeth at night.

Drug-Free Headache Prevention

Chronic migraines and frequent tension headaches may actually be a result of teeth grinding and jaw clenching. As a drug-free solution that provides long-lasting relief, we offer a small oral device that readjusts your bite, prevents muscle contractions connected to headaches, and allows your jaw to relax.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer screenings only take a few minutes, but they could save your life! We look for any signs of abnormal tissues or lesions that may not cause you any pain or symptoms but could be a sign of the disease. We want to catch oral cancer as soon as possible so you can have the best chance of beating it.

Tooth-Colored Composite Fillings

As opposed to silver fillings, we provide composite fillings that are made from a tooth-colored material. After it is cured, shaped, and polished, the filling will be nearly indistinguishable from your natural tooth material! Besides their aesthetic appeal, these types of fillings are also durable and can be placed in a more conservative procedure.

Porcelain Crowns

We use dental crowns to restore damaged teeth to an appropriate shape and size. We can also use them as a form of support for weakened teeth. We are proud to offer one-visit crowns with our CEREC system, which allows us to fabricate and mill restorations from our office in a single appointment.

To learn more about the benefits of CEREC, visit our One-Visit Crowns page.

Fixed Bridges

If you are missing one or more teeth, we can place a bridge that anchors to a crown on either side of the gap. These crowns can be on top of natural teeth or implant-support crowns. We make sure your bridge looks natural and fits snugly so you can go back to the benefits and confidence of a complete smile.

Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)

When you experience a severe cavity or tooth injury, it can damage the nerve within a tooth and let bacteria in. This in turn can result in infection, pain, swelling, tooth loss, and even bone damage. Root canal therapy is used to stop infection and prevent any further damage from occurring while we can. A root canal may sound intimidating but it’ll provide you immediate relief and help you keep your natural tooth.

There are some dental conditions that are so severe it only leaves a tooth extraction as the best course of action. If we have looked into all other options for you and find that only an extraction will help you manage your case, know that we prioritize your comfort and will thoroughly explain the procedure and any next steps.

Dental Implant Restorations

Dental implants are another tooth replacement option along with bridges and dentures. Dr. Fauver designs restorations to resemble natural teeth in fit and function so that you can go back to the days of chewing, speaking, and smiling with ease and confidence.

Dr. Fauver can design full or partial dentures that look like the real thing and that fit you well. We’ll make sure everything is adjusted correctly and do any minor modifications so that you’re comfortable in your new smile. We also offer denture stabilization, which is where we place mini dental implants that your dentures will snap into for a better, more stable fit.

Porcelain Veneers

The color, shape, size, and spacing of your teeth all play a part in your smile’s appearance. If you’d like to change one or more of those things, we suggest considering veneers. Dr. Fauver will apply thin, custom-made veneers to the front of your teeth in order to adjust their appearance. You’ll be able to design the smile of your dreams!

Professional Teeth Whitening

In addition to giving you the benefit of a cleaner looking and more attractive smile, whiter teeth can also boost your confidence and enhance your self-esteem. We offer custom take-home whitening kits, as well as a convenient in-office whitening procedure for the whitest smile possible. Ask us about the whitening plan that’s right for you. You’ll love the results of a brighter, more dazzling smile!

As medical professionals who have experience in facial structure and aesthetics, we can help truly perfect your smile with BOTOX cosmetic. This treatment can remove fine lines and wrinkles to help you have a more youthful appearance.

These trays are specifically designed to be clear so they’re hardly noticeable when you wear them!
